Working at the intersection of material, symbol, light and energy .
My work emerges at the intersection of material, symbol, and energy, forming structures that function as contemporary talismanic systems. Through mixed media — including electronics, organic elements, and industrial materials — I create hybrid forms that merge the technological with the ancestral, and the digital with the ritual.
These works are not representations, but active constructions that sustain a tension between the visible and the invisible.
Moving between painting, installation, and scenographic environments, my practice extends beyond the object into spatial experience. Each piece is forms part of a broader inquiry into how matter carries meaning, memory, and transformation, opening symbolic fields in which perception and interpretation remain in constant flux.

Visionarios
Visionarios transforms archival photographs into hybrid figures that exist between memory and projection. Through layered interventions, the works reconfigure identity as a dynamic system—reactivating past imagery within a contemporary symbolic language.

These assemblages emerge from the collision between the organic and the technological. Circuits, minerals, and found materials are reassembled into living structures that suggest new forms of intelligence. Each work acts as a system in tension — part artifact, part signal — where matter is no longer passive, but charged with intention, memory, and transformation.

Works that operate as active symbolic structures — where image, material, and energy converge into contemporary talismans.
These portraits move beyond representation into symbolic construction. The human figure becomes a carrier of layered systems, merging archetype, identity, and coded visual language into a perceptual device where image, memory, and meaning are continuously reconfigured.

Carlos Escobar (b. 1984, Mexico) is a Swiss–Latin multidisciplinary artist based in Bern, Switzerland.
His practice explores the relationship between symbol, material, and energy through works that operate as contemporary talismans. Using organic materials such as obsidian, quartz, natural feathers, and metals, alongside technological elements and light systems, he bridges the ancestral and the contemporary.
Escobar’s artistic language draws on Latin American cosmologies, European contemporary art, and cross-cultural dialogue with Asia. His work investigates identity, transformation, and the relationship between body, memory, and invisible structures of perception.
He has presented internationally in Switzerland, Germany, the United Kingdom, Brazil, and China. His recent participation in “Fusion of Perspectives” at the Hong Art Museum in Chongqing (2025–2026) marks an important step in expanding his presence within the global contemporary art scene.

The solo exhibition Fusion of Perspectives at Hong Art Museum, Chongqing, China, received international press coverage highlighting the work, the scenographic environment, and its cultural significance as a bridge between Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
